Associate Manager

Our retail expansion in main markets starts with hiring the best leaders. As Associate Manager, you will focus on operational activities to grow the business. Additionally, you will execute the visual merchandising direction for this store location. You will promote the Ballard Designs brand at every guest encounter and ensure your stellar team exemplifies brand values, standards, and experience. The dynamic energy from your leadership will company programs, increase sales, and set your store to exceed all expectations.

Your hiring location is Manhasset, NY

You will report to the store leader. Your impact includes:

• Perform a variety of operational activities including scheduling, inventory management, backroom organization, and store maintenance
• A clear understanding and execution of company visual merchandising standards and concepts
• Work collaboratively on floor sets, window display planning, and replenishment of inventory to create an extraordinary guest experience
• Experience with 'Division of Responsibility' understanding, competent in merchandise flow processes, including inspecting and receiving new merchandise and enter data into inventory management system
• Manage and develop the performance of the associates and provide feedback
• Assure all back areas meet company standards of cleanliness and a safe work environment

What you bring includes:

• 3+ years of shipping and receiving management experience in specialty retail industry
• 3+ years of visual merchandising experience in a specialty retail industry
• Proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets), Outlook, Workday, Kronos, and POS Systems
• Lift and mobilize medium to large items, up to 50lbs
• Availability to work flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Additional physical requirements may be required i.e. climbing ladders
