As an Associate Visual Designer, you’ll:
Design Execution and Support
- Create visually engaging designs for print, digital, and multimedia formats based on client briefs and creative direction.
- Assist in the development of infographics, data visualizations, and layouts that effectively communicate complex information.
- Adapt and apply client branding guidelines across various design outputs to ensure consistency and alignment.
Collaboration and Teamwork
- Work closely with senior designers, project managers, and other team members to contribute to creative concepts and project deliverables.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions, providing fresh ideas and creative input to solve design challenges.
- Support cross-functional teams, such as strategists and developers, in translating ideas into actionable visuals.
Production and File Preparation
- Prepare production-ready files for print and digital platforms, ensuring all technical specifications and quality standards are met.
- Assist in creating prototypes, wireframes, or mockups for interactive and responsive design projects.
- Collaborate with external vendors, such as printers or developers, to ensure final outputs meet project requirements.
Learning and Adapting
- Stay informed about current design trends, tools, and best practices, particularly those relevant to commercial, government, and non-profit sectors.
- Incorporate feedback from senior team members and clients to refine and improve design work.
- Explore and learn new software or techniques as needed to enhance contributions to the team.
Sector-Specific Design Application
- Identify and implement innovative design solutions, leveraging emerging trends and technologies such as AR/VR, interactive design, or advanced data visualization.
- Develop and refine brand identity systems for clients, establishing guidelines for consistent application across various platforms.
- Encourage experimentation within the team to push creative boundaries while adhering to project requirements.
Basic Project Management
- Organize and prioritize tasks across multiple projects, ensuring timely delivery of design components.
- Communicate progress and challenges effectively with project managers and team leads.
- Maintain organized files and documentation for easy handoff and collaboration.
Quality Assurance
- Conduct initial reviews of designs for technical accuracy, alignment with project goals, and adherence to branding standards.
- Ensure that all deliverables meet internal quality standards and client expectations before submission for final review.
Supporting Client Presentations
- Assist in preparing visuals, slide decks, and presentation materials for client meetings and proposals.
- Participate in client meetings to present designs or take notes for feedback sessions.
Tool and Software Proficiency
- Utilize Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), PowerPoint, and other relevant design tools to produce high-quality visuals.
- Learn and contribute to the use of collaborative tools such as Miro, Figma, or SketchUp when applicable to projects.
Contributing to Team Culture
- Support a collaborative and inclusive work environment by actively engaging in team activities and sharing ideas.
- Participate in knowledge-sharing sessions to enhance team skills and stay updated on emerging trends.
What We’re Looking For
Must-Haves:
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in graphic design, including web, print, and animation.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere) and tools like Microsoft PowerPoint
- Understanding of responsive web design, UX principles, and social media design standards.
- Demonstrated ability to create data-driven visual content, such as infographics and motion graphics.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with collaborative tools like Miro or Figma.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards for digital design.
- Familiarity in video editing or 3D design tools like Blender or SketchUp

Salary Range: $57,100 - $65,200 (dependent on background and experience)
