Position Description

Position Type: 32 hours a week

Salary Range: $40,000 – $45,000 based on experience

Reports to: Director of Artist Services

The Artist Services Coordinator is a full-time position with a start date of October 1, 2025. The Coordinator maintains department files and archives, serves as a contact for professional visual artists in Palm Beach County and is a member of the Council’s Artist Resources Team (ART). The position offers flexible hours and the opportunity to work with Palm Beach County’s vibrant cultural sector.

Duties and Responsibilities

Programming & Process

• Creates, sends, and manages all documentation and signage for exhibitions in our galleries

• Participates in the installation and deinstallation of Main Gallery exhibitions

• Assists creative professionals in completing Artist Directory listings

• Works with the Director of Artist services to curate and coordinate installation and deinstallation of all North gallery exhibitions

• Participates in ideation of future North Gallery exhibitions

• Assists with Institute for Cultural Advancement sessions

• Oversees the administration of Palm Beach County Open Studios

• Assists the Director of Artist Services in managing, scheduling, and running the monthly artist critique group Thoughtful Review

• Speaks knowledgeably to visitors about artists in all gallery exhibitions; helps train volunteer docents as applicable

• The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and others

• Organizational skills that benefit the entire Artist Services department
