About the Role:
We are looking for a seasoned Senior Brand Editor to join our dynamic creative marketing team. This role is perfect for a strategic thinker and skilled writer experienced in science, ingredients, or tech-focused fields. You’ll bring our brands to life through engaging and accurate content, crafting compelling narratives that resonate with diverse audiences.
Collaborating across marketing, science, legal, and business development teams, you’ll shape messaging, develop content strategy, and translate complex science into clear, impactful storytelling. You’ll serve as our brand voice architect, adeptly capturing both consumer and pharmaceutical grade brand voices.
Core Expectations
Strategic Content Development:
- Write impactful copy including taglines, headlines, product descriptions, and both short and long-form marketing materials (print and digital) across our complete brand portfolio, ensuring each brand's unique positioning and voice is distinctly represented
- Write and edit engaging content for multiple channels: website, Amazon, blogs, paid media, landing pages, emails, organic social, video scripts, and internal communications
- Apply a design-led, brand voice-centered mindset to ensure messaging visually and verbally aligns across all assets
- Tailor content strategically, aligning messaging with specific project goals, brand tone, and business objectives
- Collaborate cross-functionally with creative, marketing, and science teams to uphold and evolve our content strategy
- Maintain an audience-first approach, ensuring cohesive and impactful brand narratives
- Stay current on cultural trends, industry developments, and innovations within the longevity/NAD+ space, contributing fresh perspectives as a thought leader
- Strategically leverage AI tools to enhance content creation efficiency while maintaining brand authenticity and scientific accuracy
- Translate complex scientific and ingredient research into clear, accessible messaging for expert and consumer audiences
- Support editorial processes through content ideation, briefing, and reviewing, particularly focused on proprietary ingredients
- Conduct in-depth industry, competitor, and audience research to inform strategic content decisions
- Adapt content tone and style effectively across platforms to resonate with diverse audience segments
- Partner with creative, marketing, and science teams to shape and uphold a unified content strategy, always prioritizing brand and audience alignment
- Refine and evolve brand tone, messaging frameworks, and guidelines, influencing how brands present visually and verbally
- Contribute strategically to brand transformation initiatives and the evolution of verbal identity
- Develop compelling thought leadership content to position Niagen Bioscience as an industry authority
- Collaborate closely with creative and cross-functional teams to produce accurate, impactful, and timely content
- Coordinate with legal, science, product, and marketing teams to ensure message consistency and accuracy
- Present content concepts and provide strategic rationale clearly to stakeholders
- Effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously, delivering exceptional quality within deadlines
- Minimum of five years in copywriting and copy editing, ideally within in-house teams or agencies focused on complex products or regulated industries such as science, tech, wellness, consumer packaged goods (CPG), or innovative brands with proprietary technologies
- Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing content and brand strategies
- Provide a diverse portfolio highlighting both long-form and short-form copy across digital and print channels
- Proficient in utilizing AI tools for content generation, research, and drafting while ensuring editorial accuracy, brand voice consistency, and regulatory compliance
- Exceptional storytelling and writing capabilities, emphasizing clarity, strategic alignment, and brand-appropriate tone
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision
- Experience working effectively with diverse teams, including legal, scientific, product development, and marketing to maintain messaging accuracy and consistency
- A keen interest in and deep understanding of market trends and consumer behavior to continuously refine and optimize brand messaging
- Familiarity with ClickUp, Asana, or similar project management tools, Google Workspace, Adobe Creative Cloud, and Figma
- Previous experience in startup, high-growth environments, or companies with category-defining products
- Familiarity with highly regulated sectors such as supplements, biotechnology, or health technology
- Experience contributing to brand transformation initiatives or strategic brand teams
- Strong social listening and cultural research skills
- Solid understanding of the full marketing funnel and expertise in conversion optimization techniques
- Advanced knowledge of AI-driven content creation tools and prompt engineering tailored for marketing purposes within regulated industries
- A sense of humor combined with a passion for clear and impactful writing
