Studio City PXL is a Clio and Emmy-winning digital, television and theatrical marketing agency encompassing social media, technology, branding, post-production, motion graphics, design, production and original content creation for traditional, virtual reality and emerging platforms.

Our marketing agency’s post-production team is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Editor to support the creation of high-quality content. This role involves working closely with coordinators, editors, and finishing teams in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform essential tasks in Avid Media Composer, including digitizing, importing, grouping, syncing, exporting, and creating string-outs.
  • Organize and prepare assets to ensure seamless project workflows.
  • Maintain technical standards and ensure projects meet deadlines.
  • Support posting and quality control processes to uphold content excellence.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Avid Media Composer with the ability to work independently from day one.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Previous experience in an agency setting is required.

Additional knowledge a plus:

  • Broadcast Specs & Standards
  • Deck operation for HDCAM-SR & XDCAM
  • Understanding of multiple formats (4K, UHD, 1080p, 1080i, 720p, 59.94, 23.98, 29.97)
  • Understanding of multiple codecs and file types (DnX, ProRes, OP1a)
  • Avid & Computer Technical Support
  • Conform and Roundtrip between Premiere, Avid and DaVinci.
  • ***This position has in-office reporting expectations in our North Hollywood, CA location.
