Job Summary/Description: KCTV5 has an immediate opening for an MMJ. The candidate must research, shoot, write, and edit daily reports for TV, digital, and social platforms. Responsibilities include pitching story ideas, developing community contacts, handling breaking news, and possibly filling in as an anchor. Strong writing skills and ability to work under deadlines are essential. The MMJ will shoot, write, edit, perform live shots, post on social media, and write web stories. Daily pitching of news stories is expected.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• 3 to 5 years as a professional MMJ
• Ability to shoot, write, and edit packages for air
• Excellent newsroom citizenship
• Ability to write web stories and post on social media
