Job Description
The Social Media Specialist will support, educate and guide Visiting Angels franchisees in the US and Canada with social media marketing, management and strategy. In addition, they will assist with the company’s social media marketing and advertising and will be expected to monitor activity across a broad range of social networking sites, cultivate and grow online relationships with key target audiences, and seek new opportunities to integrate social media into our strategic marketing objectives.
The Social Media Specialist is a highly motivated, creative individual with experience and a passion for connecting with current and future customers and franchisees. That passion comes through daily engagement with customers, with the ultimate goal of turning fans into customers and customers into advocates. This role reports directly to the Social Media Manager.
Primary Responsibilities:
Partner with the Visiting Angels franchisees and Home Office team to provide responsive, clear, and concise direction to engage and build social media audiences
Provide training and onboarding support to franchisees on our internal social media hub (ARC Social)
Measure, analyze, and report on social media performance
Research current social media trends and best practices to implement, maintain and enhance brand awareness
Support with community management and content planning
Other duties may be assigned
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in advertising, marketing, communications, or a related field; or equivalent work-related experience
A minimum of three years working with a Social Media business page with over 1,000 followers, preferably in a corporate setting
Account management experience with multiple small business accounts
Proven creative and visual storytelling skills
Familiarity with social media analytics and reporting tools, such as Emplifi or BrandWatch
Experience and Skills:
Home Care or Healthcare experience is preferred
Experience managing Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn corporate accounts
Must have a proven track record on various social media platforms
Must be able to work with several different departments and personalities while prioritizing and managing workload
Stellar communication, organizational, and project management skills – Includes written and verbal communication, both in‐person and over the phone
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
Must be comfortable communicating effectively with both individuals and groups
Must be comfortable communicating quickly and clearly under pressure, and determining the right method for the communication
Experience with teleconference and online meeting tools, such as Zoom, GoToMeeting, Google Meet, etc.
Very strong computer and web publishing skills, including proficiency with Google Workspace programs (Drive, Sheets, Docs, etc.)
Must be comfortable learning new software platforms and quickly adapting
Must be proficient in using multiple social media platforms under brand-specific guidelines
Experience in communicating and collaborating with team members across the organization
Experience with corporate culture and copywriting is a plus
Excellence in working independently, as well as in collaborative settings, is required
