Harlequin Designs is a cutting-edge fabrication company that combines art with engineering to create custom, one-of-a-kind pieces. We are currently seeking talented freelance artists to bring their hands-on artistic skills into our creative process.
What Were Looking For:
Foam Carver / Styrofoam Artist: (Props, sculptures, and large-scale elements)
Skills Needed: Carving, shaping, and detailing foam (polystyrene, high-density foam) using tools like hot wire cutters, knives, and rasps.
Metal Fabricator / Welder Artist: (Metal sculptures, gates, furniture, etc.)
Skills Needed: Welding, cutting, and shaping metals like steel, aluminum, or copper. Understanding of fabrication tools like MIG/TIG welders, plasma cutters, and metal benders.
Wood Carver / Sculptor: (Detailed woodwork, sculptures, and furniture)
Skills Needed: Woodworking, carving, and sculpting using hand tools, chisels, and power tools like routers and sanders.
Mold Maker / Resin Artist: (Casting, molding, and resin creations)
Skills Needed: Proficiency in creating molds from silicone, plaster, or other materials and casting in resin or other materials.
Leatherworker / Upholsterer: (Custom leather and textile work)
Skills Needed: Leatherworking skills, stitching, dyeing, and finishing leather. Upholstery techniques for adding fabrics or leathers to furniture or custom pieces.
Stone Carver:
Skills Needed: Ability to carve and shape stone using chisels, hammers, pneumatic tools, and grinders.
Fabricator / 3D Textile Artist:
Skills Needed: Sewing, fabric manipulation, and use of textile materials. Some might specialize in 3D textile forms or plush sculptures.
Ceramic Artist / Potter
Skills Needed: Working with clay, pottery wheels, hand building, glazing, firing, and molding.
Set Designer / Scenic Artist
Skills Needed: Construction, painting, and designing sets or props for film, theater, or exhibition spaces.
Skills & Experience Required:
Proven experience in your specific field of artistry
Ability to work from both conceptual sketches and technical drawings
Strong attention to detail and a passion for craftsmanship
Comfortable working on collaborative projects with other artisans and designers
