Extensive knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Bridge and Raw Image Converter, as well as Photo Mechanic and digital asset management systems. Outlook is utilitzed for email and calendars while Asana is the operations environment used for task management.




Work in standard office environment, driving, lifting of equipment, standing and walking for long periods of time.

Position Summary
This position requires a detail-oriented individual who can work with Marketing & Communications staff in a team environment as well as with campus clients. It uses close coordination & collaboration with the Assistant Director for Photography, other staff photographers, editors, writers, designers, art directors, and operations professionals. Strong organizational & creative skills are required to manage tasks and produce effective photography. We thrive within our team-first culture, and it is an everyday expectation on our photo team.
The employee will have extensive knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Bridge and Raw Image Converter, as well as Photo Mechanic and digital asset management systems. Outlook is utilitzed for email and calendars while Asana is the operations environment used for task management.
This position actively participates in weekly planning and production meetings to strategize and outline content for high-priority institutional projects. Experience in utilizing natural and artificial lighting to produce digital images for a variety of uses, including campus news & alumni publications, web pages, promotional brochures, special events and media relations. Produce creative, well-composed images in a variety of settings and subject areas, including executive portraiture, high-tech research, service, landscape and architecture, news and editorial. Edit, file, and archive digital images, as well as color correct & process raw digital files to final high-resolution images. Responsible for metadata entry of assignments in our web based digital asset management system. Film & print scanning, inventory tracking and general equipment maintenance may be expected. Evening & weekend work is expected, as well as occasional out-of-town travel.

Duties/Responsibilities





Active photographer to conceptualize and produce images that support marketing campaigns and strategic departmental initiatives. Duties include field and studio photography assignments, editing photo assignments, import and tag media assets in photo databases, image cutlines, processing stock image selections, planning and logistics for assignments, to include contacting clients, arranging schedules, and reserving equipment.

Works closely with the editors, art directors, writers and operations and business professionals to produce a high-quality product that supports the university's mission. Coordinates associated photo assignments, supports accountability with deadlines and provides input with final image selections.
