The Triplett laboratory has an open position for a Postdoctoral Fellow to study the mechanisms underlying the development of synaptic specificity in the visual system (please see PMID:35294270, PMID:36717228, and visit https://thetriplettlab.wordpress.com/). The Triplett lab is a collaborative environment, utilizing multiple cutting-edge techniques, including in vivo electrophysiology, neuronal circuit tracing, and behavioral paradigms in genetically-modified mice.


The lab is part of the Center for Neuroscience Research at Children's National - a vibrant and collegial environment dedicated to understanding neurodevelopment in health and disease. Successful applicants will have access to excellent core facilities and services, including microscopic imaging, high-throughput sequencing, bioinformatics, and behavior. Additionally, postdocs are able to attend career development workshops and hear seminars from pre-eminent scholars in the field.


The position will be open starting Fall 2025. Experience in neuronal circuit tracing, in vivo electrophysiology and/or RNAseq preferred but not required. Candidates must have attained, or will soon attain, a PhD in neuroscience, cell/developmental biology or other related field.
