Koniag Government Services company is seeking a Technical Writer L1 to support our government customer in Washington, DC. Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Govt. Security Clearance. This position is for a Future New Business Opportunity.

The Technical Writer Level I will create and revise technical documentation while ensuring clarity, accuracy, and consistency in all materials. Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:
Documentation Development:
Write technical reports and manuals
Create operational procedures
Prepare instruction books
Draft proposals and briefs
Maintain technical catalogs
Technical Responsibilities:
Review technical specifications
Interpret engineering drawings
Process operational data
Organize technical content
Follow style guidelines
Content Management:
Maintain revision records
Manage file systems
Track document versions
Requirements:
Strong writing abilities
Research capabilities
Process documentation
Quality control focus
Time management
Desired Skills and Competencies:
Bachelor's degree in technical writing
Experience with government documentation
Knowledge of style guides
Graphics software proficiency
Experience with documentation tools
Knowledge of publication processes
Understanding of technical terminology
Experience with procedures writing
Knowledge of documentation standards
Experience with content management
Understanding of version control
Knowledge of technical illustrations
Experience with document layouts
Understanding of accessibility requirements
Knowledge of documentation workflows
Education:
Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
0-2 years technical writing experience
Experience with documentation systems
Understanding of technical concepts
This position requires strong writing abilities, attention to detail, and the capability to translate complex technical information into clear, user-friendly documentation. Success in this role demands excellent organization skills and the ability to work effectively with technical teams while maintaining high documentation standards.
