Marketing Intern (Non-Exempt / Hourly Employee) Location: Chicago Only - Hybrid Hours Required: 10-15 hrs/wk Department: Marketing Reports to: COO Job Summary: The Marketing Intern is responsible for supporting the leadership team by supporting a variety of marketing and business development activitiesincluding but not exclusive to content creation (social media, website, newsletter, and marketing materials), CRM and pipeline tracking, and brand building. Key Responsibilities: Create visually compelling marketing assets using Canva and Adobe Creative Suite (including Adobe Pro) Support our social media presence with original content, post scheduling, and engagement tracking Assist in the creation and formatting of our monthly email newsletter Draft and publish blog posts in alignment with our voice and brand values Maintain and update website content using a user-friendly CMS Support our sales pipeline and CRM buildout, helping track prospects and create supporting materials Help evolve and maintain brand consistency across all platforms and collateral Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures Support additional initiatives and responsibilities as directed by management Required Skills & Qualifications: A rising college junior pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field Highly skilled in Canva  Familiar with or eager to learn tools like Mailchimp, HubSpot, and WordPress A strong writer with excellent attention to detail and a passion for storytelling Organized, proactive, and able to manage time and tasks independently Excited about working with mission-driven organizations and contributing to the nonprofit space Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Preferred Qualifications (Optional): Video editing experience Adobe Creative Suite (including Adobe Pro) experience Growth & Development Opportunities: Real-world experience across all areas of marketing Mentorship and direct access to leadership Portfolio-worthy work that makes a difference Flexible hours and the opportunity to work remotely Potential for full time position upon graduation  Compensation Range for Chicago: $18/hrTereo Group is committed to providing an equal opportunity for employment to individuals regardless of age, race, color, creed, citizenship status, national origin, ancestry, religion (including religious dress and grooming practices), sex (including pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding, or related medical conditions), gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, physical or mental disability, pregnancy, military or veteran status, genetic information or any other similarly protected status in accordance with federal, state or local law, ordinance or regulation.
