Responsibilities
- Prospect and develop new commercial insurance opportunities through networking, referrals, and community engagement.
- Conduct needs assessments to understand specific insurance needs, risks and goals.
- Prepare, present, and close insurance proposals that meet client needs.
- Build long-term relationships with clients, learning their business needs to provide tailored insurance solutions.
- Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients in your assigned book of business.
- Partner with our service team, underwriters, and carrier partners to ensure smooth onboarding and renewals.
- Meet and exceed sales and retention goals.
- Stay informed on industry trends and education
Requirements
- Michigan Property & Casualty license preferred (or ability to obtain).
- Minimum of 2 years of sales experience; insurance background strongly preferred.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Tech proficiency required; experience with AMS360 and Agency Zoom preferred.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable working independently in a hybrid environment.
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Client-Focused: Strong ability to understand customer needs and provide proactive solutions.
- Adaptability: Capable of balancing work between remote settings and office presence, ensuring productivity and engagement.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to assess client needs effectively and propose suitable insurance options.
