Social Media & Content Specialist

Location: Harrisburg, PA

Reports to: Senior Creative Marketing Manager

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Position Overview The Social Media & Content Specialist will plan, execute, manage, and monitor our social media campaigns and channels with the goal of connecting with customers, inspiring engagement, and driving brand growth. This role will be pivotal in shaping our digital presence, maintaining cohesive branding, and creating compelling content that resonates with our audience.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement social media strategies across platforms including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, and others.
• Create, curate, and schedule engaging content in alignment with brand guidelines.
• Stay informed on trends, audience insights, and competitor activity to optimize engagement.
• Respond promptly to social media comments, messages, and reviews.
• Build and maintain influencer and partner relationships for collaborative content creation.
• Plan and manage paid social media campaigns to increase traffic and conversions.
• Monitor, analyze, and report on campaign performance, providing actionable insights.
• Collaborate with the creative team to ensure consistent brand presentation across all platforms.
• Upload and organize influencer-created video content, including YouTube and Shorts.
• Assist with video planning, scripting, and short-form content creation when needed.
• Monitor brand mentions and sentiment, taking proactive action to protect the brand's online reputation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience managing social media accounts for a brand or organization.
• Knowledge of social media scheduling tools, analytics platforms, and AI tools.
• Familiarity with video editing apps and Adobe Creative Suite preferred.
• Strong creative, writing, and visual content skills.
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Understanding of digital marketing trends, email marketing, and PPC advertising.
