The Design Director at Salesforce will lead the vision for the Salesforce brand identity, overseeing brand design across the organization and all channels. This role is pivotal in developing, evolving and scaling the brand identity, driving a design-led vision globally, and fostering an inclusive design culture. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in design systems and a proven track record in leading integrated brand efforts for large complex organizations. A tastemaker with a deep understanding of the key strategic business objectives, they will collaborate closely with a wide range of stakeholders to evolve and grow the Salesforce brand.Responsibilities:Salesforce brand identity:Drive the global brand identity for all of Salesforce products and services to ensure quality, adoption, consistency and scalability across all touchpointsBrand Identity Development:Conceptualizing, designing, and executing the Salesforce brand identity across all touchpoints.Setting the bar:Lead a high performing team to develop original, breakthrough brand systems, behaviors and design solutions that serve a global audience. Get hands on and lead by example when necessary.Culture building:Foster and grow brand design culture through enabling world-class design.Efficiency and scale:Establish efficient ways of working to improve performance, Decision making, quality and integrated approaches to execution. Approach projects from an understanding of building systems and tools for scale and enablement.Team Building and management:Build a team of world-class design and creative talent. Grow and mentor junior talent while developing the careers of more senior team members. Plan and ensure alignment of priorities and resources with leadership.Leadership:Lead with vision, partner with Marketing, Product and Business leadership to develop holistic brand systems that are scalable, set Salesforce apart and will stand the test of time.Staying Ahead:Monitoring industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to ensure content remains relevant and competitive.Skills and Qualifications:12+ years experience in design, building consumer brands. Global experience a plus6+ years of demonstrated people management experience coaching and developing team membersExperience leading with creative vision, purpose and innovationExperience driving brand solutions to business problemsExperience building portfolio brands and working with brand architectureExperience across integrated design work: campaigns, digital and experientialExperience recruiting talent and developing design careersExperience managing internal, external teams and agenciesExperience collaborating, driving consensus among highly cross functional teamsExceptional communication and presentation skills, capable of developing project and initiative presentations from strategy to executionExperience partnering with and influencing marketing leadership and other executive stakeholdersExpert with creative tools, creative cloud, Figma, Miro, Google Suite.
