Position Overview

The Production Artist is responsible for preparing and modifying print-ready graphics for a wide range of packaging. This includes ensuring all graphical, regulatory, and prepress requirements are met for both house and private-label brands.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Adapt Existing Packaging: Modify existing packaging designs for various brands across markets, including retail and professional use in industries like Cleaning, Automotive, Paint, Pesticides, and Food Service.
  2. Collaborate and Extend Artwork: Work closely with Scheduler, Senior Packaging Production Artist, Project Managers, and Regulatory Specialists to apply and extend artwork across packaging types such as product labels, shrink sleeves, wraps, blisters, folding cartons, and trays, accommodating different sizes and product variations.
  3. Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Apply all regulatory information accurately while maintaining creative integrity, adhering to standards like FTC, FDA, OTC, EPA, and GHS.
  4. Artwork Creation: Create production-ready files using Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat) and Microsoft 365.
  5. Maintain Brand Consistency: Ensure all projects adhere to brand standards and design best practices.
  6. Conduct Quality Control: Perform thorough QC reviews of final artwork to ensure accuracy before approval.
  7. Manage Project Schedule: Handle multiple projects efficiently, meeting deadlines and expectations in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Entry-level or Junior position.
  • Degree in Graphic Design or equivalent experience in graphic arts.
  • Familiarity with packaging design and regulatory requirements for aerosol and liquid products is preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively with teams including clients, sales, and regulatory personnel.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently with limited supervision.

Compensation and Benefits

The base pay for this position is $24/hr, reflecting labor costs across US markets. Compensation may vary based on experience, skills, and location. Additional benefits include:
