POSITION SPECIFICS
The Intensive English Communication Program (IECP), housed under the Department of Applied Linguistics in the College of Liberal Arts at Penn State, invites applications for part-time lecturer positions for Fall 2025 and Spring 2026.
The IECP offers courses in academic English to prepare international students for undergraduate and graduate studies in the U.S.
Job Duties
- Teaching non-credit intensive English courses at one of four levels.
- Performing some administrative duties related to courses.
Requirements and Qualifications
- A Master’s degree in TESOL or related field (e.g., TEFL, ESL); pursuit of such a degree or a BA in TESOL may be acceptable for some positions.
- Prior teaching experience in an intensive English or academic English prep program is preferred.
- Appointments are approximately 10 hours/week for 8 weeks.
- Demonstrated interest in professional development and strong command of English are required.
