The Community Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management and coordination of Association operations and administrative functions to ensure a smoothly functioning community.
Responsibilities
- Works with the Board Members, Senior Managers, and RM to develop strategic direction for the Associations. This position reports to the Senior Manager of Property Management.
- Ensures activities align with the mission, vision, and critical success factors of the Board of Directors.
- Develops, communicates, and monitors property budgets.
- Reviews monthly finances and advises the Board on potential shortfalls or excess funding.
- Coordinates, negotiates, and administers vendor contracts for property services per the management agreement and Board directives.
- Audits and approves vendor and utility invoices for payment following the client's accounting procedures.
- Prepares accurate monthly financial reports as required by the management contract.
- Conducts inspections of all common properties and manages deed restriction violations in accordance with recorded covenants.
- Attends all Board and annual meetings, preparing notices, agendas, and minutes.
- Enforces rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and laws.
Community Manager 1 (Finance)
The Community Manager oversees daily operations to maintain a well-functioning community.
Qualifications
- Proven communication skills to interact effectively with residents and Board members.
- Ability to build strong relationships with the Board and vendors.
- Excellent organizational, prioritization, and attention to detail skills.
- Strong customer service and presentation skills.
- Effective time management skills.
- Adaptability to organizational changes and client needs.
- Proficiency in Windows and MS Office, especially Excel.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree with 3-5 years or an Associate's Degree with 6-8 years of community/association management or equivalent experience.
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations
CMCA, AMS, or PCAM designation preferred.
