Architectural Metals (Metals) is a segment within Apogee that is a provider of aluminum windows, curtainwall (soon to be retired), storefront and entrance systems. We offer an integrated set of capabilities including design, engineering, extrusion, finishing, fabrication, and assembly.

Our market-leading brands offer solutions for a wide range of construction project types and sizes across the U.S. and Canada. Position Summary

The Factory Order I position enters customer storefront orders for production. Will produce production drawings for fabrication, ensuring a quality, error-free, and on-time product that is profitable to the company while meeting internal and external customer expectations.

POSITION DUTIES And RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Efficiently generate high quality production documents that are complete and accurate using AutoCAD, EEP or other tools as applicable.
  • Actively promote high quality in your daily responsibilities.
  • Properly use electronic filing system in filing internal and external documents.
  • Demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Develop your knowledge of all brand product lines as it pertains to storefront.
  • Become familiar with the manufacturing process.
  • Ability to answer questions from manufacturing regarding production orders, deferring more advanced questions to appropriate parties.
  • Utilize manufacturing input with the intent of producing a production package for ease of manufacturing and installation.
  • Undertake and promote job responsibilities in a manner consistent with the Company's Core Values.

EDUCATION And EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • High school education or equivalent.

Other Requirements

  • Be able to navigate through a set of shop drawings.
  • Close attention to detail and focus on providing the most accurate information to internal and external customers.
  • Ability to become proficient in understanding of the storefront products and processes.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Ability to stay focused and manage tasks efficiently while working quickly and accurately.
  • Willing and able to work additional hours as needed to meet deadlines.
  • Computer software experience in the following software

Desired

  • AutoCAD
  • Basic understanding of bill of materials
  • AS400
  • Acrobat and editing software
  • Microsoft Teams
