Commercial Proposal Writer

Position Overview

The Proposal Writer is responsible for preparing a variety of proposals and projects by providing compelling, well-structured information. This role supports all commercial sales teams, brand marketing teams, and the Strategic Sales Support team. Additionally, the proposal writer offers graphic design support for marketing materials.

Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with sales and internal teams to understand proposal needs and strategies.
2. Lead meetings to gather information for proposal responses.
3. Research and understand company operations to produce accurate content.
4. Write and format proposals adhering to brand standards and presenting a professional image.
5. Create and manage pricing tables, including international currency conversions.
6. Ensure timely delivery of proposals, coordinating writing, design, reviews, and approvals.
7. Build and maintain a network of internal experts to support proposal development.
8. Use templates and brand guidelines to ensure consistency and quality.
9. Continuously improve proposal content and processes based on feedback.
10. Support team goals by taking on new tasks and adding value.
11. Coach team members and subject matter experts on effective writing practices.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in communications, English, journalism, or 4 years of proposal/grant writing experience.
2. Advanced writing and editing skills, both technical and persuasive.
3. Flexible schedule, with the ability to work varied hours (up to 4 days onsite).
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Creative Suite.

Work Shift: 8-hour non-rotating shift, hours fall to in-punch day, observed calendar. Shift starts AM.
