As part of our Silicon Technologies group, you'll design and manufacture next-generation, high-performance, power-efficient processors and system-on-chip (SoC). You will ensure Apple products and services handle tasks seamlessly and efficiently, delighting millions of users. In this visible role, you'll collaborate across fields to impact product delivery to millions of customers.
The Graphics Verification Engineer will oversee pre-silicon RTL verification of blocks in low power embedded graphics cores. This involves understanding the micro-architectural details and how they integrate within the broader GPU design. A strong background in computer architecture, preferably in graphics, and verification methodology is essential to achieve high-confidence testing coverage.
Responsibilities
- Lead top-level verification teams for GPU logic blocks.
- Develop, execute, and track test plans.
- Architect test bench methodologies using UVM and SystemVerilog.
- Build testing stimuli, coverage, and regression strategies.
- Maintain and debug test benches and BFMs.
- Analyze simulation and silicon GPU failures.
- Coordinate verification efforts with design and micro-architecture teams.
- Present weekly status updates to GPU leadership.
Minimum Qualifications
- BS degree + 10 years relevant experience.
- Background in CPU or GPU architectures.
- Experience with Verilog or similar HDLs.
- Proficiency in architecting test benches with SystemVerilog and UVM/OVM.
- Experience with constrained random verification, coverage, and assertions.
- Strong debugging skills for complex designs and environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under strict deadlines.
- Expertise in GPU architectures.
- Experience with HDL simulators and waveform viewers like IES, VCS, DVE, Verdi.
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Perl, Shell, TCL, and Makefiles.
- Strong team collaboration skills across disciplines.
