Senior Graphics Software Engineer - Apple Vision Pro

Description

Apple makes the newest technologies accessible to create amazing user experiences. You will have the opportunity to work in a team developing system-level frameworks enabling these experiences, in close collaboration with creative teams across Apple and VPG. The candidate for this role should be comfortable working in a dynamic and creative environment. Engineers are expected to work efficiently and intelligently to evaluate the viability of ideas and technologies. A strong understanding of GPUs and low-level programming is essential, along with a passion to innovate and explore these technologies to help creatives surprise and delight users.

Minimum Qualifications

• At least 8+ years of relevant industry experience, including:
• Proficiency in programming with C++
• Strong knowledge of mathematics for 3D real-time applications (linear algebra)
• Understanding of GPU hardware architecture and its impact on solutions
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Experience in designing and implementing real-time 3D and/or spatial experiences
• Experience delivering high-quality software to end users

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leading projects or teams
• Proficiency in writing optimized code using profiling tools, assembly, SIMD, compute, etc.
• Familiarity with major modern graphics APIs (Metal, Vulkan, DirectX, etc.)
• Knowledge of macOS and Unix systems

At Apple, base pay is part of our total compensation package, determined within a range based on skills, qualifications, experience, and location. The base pay range for this role is $171,600 to $302,200. Employees also have opportunities for stock programs, benefits like medical and dental coverage, retirement plans, discounts, educational reimbursement, and potential bonuses or relocation assistance.
