The Round Lake Area Public Library seeks an enthusiastic, creative team player with excellent communication skills and a dedication to customer service to fill a full-time position at the library. The successful candidate will provide reference, reader's advisory, technology instruction, and program services to patrons. We are looking for a candidate who is familiar with current children's literature, authors, and interests and is able to use this knowledge to serve our patrons.

Requirements

• One to three years previous work experience in a public service environment required; public library experience preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, the ability to maintain a good attitude and a sense of humor, above-average computer skills, and the ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, and weekends on rotation.
• Ability to speak, read, and write in English required. Bilingual ability to speak, read, and write in Spanish preferred.

Full-time: 37.5 hours
