IdeaBank Marketing is hiring: Web Developer in Hastings

Position Summary

We’re looking to expand our team with the addition of a web developer. This individual will work with the team to develop new websites; update existing websites; troubleshoot website errors/issues; and monitor and maintain our web development environments.

You might be new to marketing but have the potential to learn and pick up ideas and concepts very quickly. The ideal candidate is driven, eager, and looking to gain experience on a great team. Collaboration with creative, strategy, content, and account service teams will be a normal course of your daily routine as we all work closely together. As a developer, we anticipate 4 plus years of applicable web development and programming experience. Agency and/or digital marketing experience is a plus!

Job Requirements

• Assist in the development of websites from initial concept to finished product
• Take part in the planning, research, and estimating of projects
• Code templates into the CMS based on wireframe or high-fidelity mock-ups
• Program custom features into sites ranging from MODX, WordPress, and HubSpot
• Create and update re-usable code libraries to streamline development
• Support clients and assist with site management
• Schedule and perform software updates
• Translate site functionality into training documentation
• Help facilitate client training as needed

Required Skills

• Knowledge/experience with PHP/mySQL-based CMS, WordPress, HubSpot, Mailchimp (and/or other email marketing platforms)
• Knowledge of managing web hosting servers and environments
• Knowledge in website best practices and accessibility standards
• Ability to work both independently and with other team members
• Ability to write well-documented code
• Ability to work on multiple projects at once
• Troubleshooting skills and relating details in layman’s terms
• Willing and eager to learn

Bonus Skills

• Familiarity with APIs and database architecture
• Familiarity with mobile app development
• Experience or familiarity with marketing automation platforms
• Experience with Google Analytics
• Basic SEO skills
