$120,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr

Position: Software Engineer (UI)

Location: Columbia, MD

Clearance: Active TS/SCI with Full-Scope Polygraph

DeNOVO Solutions is seeking a Software Engineer to develop, maintain, and enhance complex and diverse software systems, with a specific focus on modern user interface development. This position involves working with technologies such as TypeScript, JavaScript, Angular, and CSS to build responsive and intuitive front-end solutions. The engineer will work individually or as part of a team to design, test, and implement components based on documented requirements and JSON-based REST APIs. Responsibilities include reviewing software for adherence to design specifications, resolving software issues, and applying appropriate development and design methodologies. The role also contributes to system-level design by evaluating hardware/software trade-offs, incorporating COTS/GOTS solutions, and supporting requirements analysis and decomposition into modular software components.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements
• Debug existing software and correct defects
• Provide recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards
• Design and code new software or modify existing software to add new features
• Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments
• Develop simple data queries for existing or proposed databases or data repositories
• Write or rereview software and system documentation
• Serve as team lead at the level appropriate to the software development process being used on any particular project
• Design or implement complex database or data repository interfaces/queries
• Develop or implement algorithms to meet or exceed system performance and functional standards
• Assist with developing and executing test procedures for software components
• Develop software solutions by analyzing system performance standards, confer with users or system engineers; analyze systems flow, data usage and work processes; and investigate problem areas
• Modify existing software to correct errors, to adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performance
• Design, develop and modify software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design
  
  
  

Required Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Four (4) years of SWE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
• Seven (7) years’ experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• IAT II Certification (ex. CompTIA Security+).
• Experienced with using TypeScript JavaScript language.
• Experienced in using Angular Framework to develop user interfaces.
• Experienced with analyzing json data structure when working with the ReST.
• Experienced with Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) to enhance the look and feel of user interfaces.

Pay and Benefits:

• The compensation range for this position is $120,000.00 - $150,000.00. (Commensurate with experience) Note: The above salary range is a guideline and represents a broad spectrum of potential compensation. We recognize that a candidate's unique experience and qualifications may justify compensation beyond this range. Therefore, we remain open to considering higher salary offers for exceptionally qualified candidates.
