Role Overview:

We're looking for an experienced and visionary Freelance Associate Creative Director, Art to lead the development of compelling, brand-defining creative across digital and traditional platforms. This role is ideal for a conceptual thinker and design leader who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced agency environment-especially one focused on healthcare and life sciences.

This role can be remote but must be willing to work PST hours.

Responsibilities:

Lead and mentor a team of art directors to deliver innovative, high-quality creative work.
Develop and present visual concepts and campaign ideas for both healthcare professionals and consumer audiences.
Collaborate with copywriters, strategists, experience designers, and technologists to bring integrated campaigns to life.
Ensure all creative aligns with brand strategy, guidelines, and user insights.
Oversee the creation of digital assets including websites, banners, emails, and social media content.
Manage multiple accounts and contribute to strategic planning and execution.
Facilitate creative reviews and provide clear, constructive feedback.
Champion agency initiatives and foster a positive, inclusive creative culture.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in advertising, design, marketing, communications, or a related field.
8-10 years of experience in a creative agency, with at least 6 years in a leadership role.
A strong portfolio showcasing conceptual thinking and high-level design execution.
Deep experience in digital and integrated marketing.
Healthcare advertising experience preferred.
Excellent presentation, communication, and client-facing skills.
Proven ability to mentor and develop creative talent.

The anticipated hourly rate for this position is $100 but may vary based on various factors such as the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and proficiency for the role.
