THE ROLE OF A COREPOWER YOGA INSTRUCTOR
A CorePower Yoga Instructor delivers an extraordinary experience. You will provide this through a welcoming front desk check-in, guiding students through CPY-aligned classes, and supporting each individual's growth. Our instructors cultivate supportive relationships by being accessible, ensuring safety, and embodying CPY Core Values.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
- Teach a minimum of two (2) CorePower Yoga classes per week, totaling at least 4 hours in studio
- Provide a safe, inclusive space by educating on alignment, offering modifications, and using CPY cueing formulas
- Arrive 30 minutes before and after each class to prepare, connect with students, and support community
- Connect with students 30 minutes prior and after class to support personal and studio growth
- Greet students, check them in, handle POS transactions, and ensure a memorable experience
- Perform cleaning tasks to meet health protocols for safety
- Uphold CPY Core Values and foster a positive studio environment
- Act as an ambassador for CPY initiatives, memberships, programming, and retail
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Before June 2020: 200-hour yoga teacher training + 50 hours of continuing education or Yoga Sculpt/fitness training + 40 hours CE
- After June 2020: 200-hour yoga teacher training (online/in-person) and/or 50HR Yoga Sculpt Intensive
- Current CPR/AED certification
- Excellent communication, professionalism, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in computer applications
- Ability to lead physical activity for up to 1.5 hours
- Ability to withstand heat of 104°F for at least 60 mins in heated classes
- Ability to move around, crouch, bend, reach, and lift up to 25 lbs.
