Konik is seeking an Architectural Studio Director to lead the corporate and commercial practice group for a dynamic, integrated architectural, engineering, and design firm. This leadership opportunity is ideal for a licensed architect who thrives on shaping design strategy, building client relationships, and mentoring high-performing teams.

As the Studio Director, you’ll serve as both a creative leader and operational strategist, guiding multidisciplinary projects across commercial office, workplace, faith-based, private education, industrial, and retail environments. You’ll have the autonomy to drive your sector’s growth, influence firmwide initiatives, and leave a lasting impact on the built environment.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead multiple design projects from concept through completion as the primary client contact and team leader.
  • Inspire and manage architectural teams, ensuring design excellence, project efficiency, and alignment with client goals.
  • Mentor and grow junior staff by fostering a collaborative and development-focused studio culture.
  • Strengthen relationships with existing clients while identifying new business opportunities through proactive outreach and engagement.
  • Oversee operations including staffing plans, schedules, project budgets, and design deliverables across the corporate-commercial portfolio.
  • Drive strategy and sector vision in collaboration with firm leadership.

What You Bring:

  • Professional or Master’s degree in Architecture
  • Active Architectural License (required)
  • 10+ years of relevant experience with a strong focus on corporate, workplace, and commercial design
  • Proven ability to lead architectural projects through all phases, from pre-design to close-out
  • Exceptional communication skills with a talent for building trusted client partnerships
  • Demonstrated experience managing and motivating cross-functional teams
  • Proficiency in Revit, Microsoft Office, and Bluebeam
  • A big-picture thinker with sharp business acumen and a passion for purposeful design
