Job Description
Our client, a global leader in travel industry technology, is seeking a strategic and dynamic Global Head of External Communications to lead our global public relations efforts. This role is ideal for a seasoned communications professional with a passion for travel and technology, who thrives in a fast-paced, global environment. You will be responsible for enhancing our brand reputation, driving thought leadership, and supporting business growth through innovative PR strategies.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a global PR strategy to elevate brand visibility and influence.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with media, journalists, and industry influencers.
- Serve as company spokesperson and manage crisis communications.
- Create compelling content including press releases, op-eds, and media pitches.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, commercial, and executive teams.
- Secure impactful media coverage in top-tier and industry-specific outlets.
- Establish thought leadership platforms for executives.
- Monitor PR performance metrics and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Stay informed on industry trends and emerging media opportunities.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in strategic communications within global or multi-regional brands.
- Proven success in the travel, technology, or SaaS sectors.
- Skilled spokesperson with experience in broadcast and print media.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong storytelling and content creation abilities.
- Experience in crisis communications and reputation management.
- Proficiency in digital PR, social media, and influencer engagement.
- Analytical mindset with ability to measure PR effectiveness.
- Comfortable in high-growth, fast-paced, and globally distributed environments.
- Flexible, self-motivated, and able to navigate ambiguity.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience advising senior leadership on external relations and industry affairs.
- Familiarity with global business trends and the travel/tech landscape.
- Background in managing PR budgets and media training programs.
