CD PROJEKT RED is seeking a Gameplay Designer for Cyberpunk 2 , the sequel to Cyberpunk 2077 . You will focus on designing engaging gameplay mechanics that enhance player experience. Reporting to the Lead Gameplay Designer, you will develop player abilities, enemy behaviors, and encounter designs to create varied and challenging playstyles.
Daily Responsibilities
- Analyze, pitch, prototype, develop, and balance core combat systems.
- Design and craft player combat mechanics, weapons, and abilities.
- Design and craft enemy behaviors, abilities, and weapons.
- Collaborate across disciplines, utilizing feedback to refine designs.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new game genres, and design techniques.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in the game industry.
- Proven success in creating innovative gameplay mechanics.
- Openness to change, experimentation, and high-quality passion.
Nice to Haves
- Experience with Unreal Engine 4 and/or 5.
- Deep knowledge of narrative-focused games.
