Intuit is seeking an exceptional Group Design Manager for the QuickBooks Live product. QuickBooks Live offers online expert services—such as bookkeeping, tax preparation, and more—that connect small businesses with trusted, QuickBooks-certified virtual experts. By combining powerful AI with expert services, QuickBooks aims to empower every business owner to confidently manage their business.

This role will focus on building and leading an already world-class design team, fostering a strong team culture, and continuously elevating the craft of team members. Intuit has a strong design-driven approach, with design thinking (D4D) at its core, employed company-wide to identify opportunities and develop solutions. As a modern design leader, you will focus on people leadership and creative direction, working closely with top design and engineering talent to produce outstanding work.

Responsibilities

  1. Lead a world-class product design team that sees design as a key differentiator in an AI-driven landscape.
  2. Maintain a deep commitment to your own design craft to create quality products for customers.
  3. Foster team culture through promoting sharper ideas, better execution, and bolder thinking.
  4. Set and uphold high standards for design quality, challenging safe choices.
  5. Influence cross-functional leaders to adopt innovative thinking.
  6. Drive and mentor bold decision-making within a matrixed environment.

Minimum Requirements

  1. 5+ years of experience leading and managing a team of 5 or more product designers, with experience managing related design functions like Content Design being a plus.
  2. Proven track record of leading design teams to deliver high-quality, impactful solutions.
  3. Deep knowledge of UX design processes and design thinking.
  4. Passion for designing customer-centric experiences.
  5. Excellent communication and storytelling skills.
  6. Experience influencing stakeholders and peers in a large organization.
  7. Ability to build vision, strategy, and plans across different functions.
  8. Strong collaboration skills across teams and functions.
  9. Some experience with or knowledge of design systems.
  10. Experience operating within a data-driven culture and collaborating in agile or similar product development processes.
  11. Good understanding of web and mobile development and technologies.
  12. Experience managing remote team members across multiple locations.
  13. Familiarity with design tools such as Sketch, Photoshop, or Illustrator.
  14. Experience in small business or financial software is a plus.
  15. A portfolio showcasing relevant work and case studies.
