As a Senior Data Scientist within User Growth Analytics, you’ll use some of the most robust site and app traffic data in the world to answer questions that drive key business decisions across product growth. You will be the expert on Redfin SEO analytics, owning all metrics development and tracking, building analyses and models for correlation and causation insights, identifying opportunities and issues in collaboration with Product, and contributing to the SEO and organic traffic strategy roadmap.

The Role

  • Be a subject matter expert on Redfin’s SEO analytics.

  • Leverage your analytical and data science expertise to deliver simple answers to complex, ambiguous questions.

  • Synthesize your analysis and others into a coherent narrative of the state of the business and communicate that narrative to business leaders.

  • Develop outcome metrics and conduct experimentation analyses to support site A/B tests.

  • Use your R and/or Python expertise to develop forecasting and causal impact models to support traffic monitoring, budgeting and strategy planning.

Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in statistics, computer science, or a related field is required. An advanced degree is a plus.

  • 5+ years working in an analytical role in a business context is required. Experience in SEO and web/app traffic analytics is strongly desired.

  • 3+ years of statistical modeling experience using R and/or Python is required.

  • Expert-level SQL, Excel and Data Visualization skills are required. Expertise with Tableau, Python for ETL, and A/B test evaluation is desired.

  • Expertise using AI code generation tools such as Snowflake Intelligence and Github CoPilot is strongly desired.

  • Experience in SEO and web/app traffic analytics is strongly desired.

  • Strong background in cross functional collaborations and being able to bring disparate groups together and build consensus

  • Brilliant skills in data storytelling with the ability to explain complex ideas clearly and effectively (both written and verbal) to less technical audience

  • Possessing a curiosity that doesn’t stop at the “What?” but hungers for the “Why?” and “What if?”

The compensation information below is provided in compliance with all applicable disclosure requirements.

Base Pay Range: $123,700.00 - 185,500.00. Actual base pay will depend on varying circumstances, including the position, location, individual qualifications, market finances, and other operational business needs. Compensation may also include bonuses and equity.
