Job Summary:

The Social Media & Content Marketing Specialist is responsible for managing and executing social media strategies, creating engaging content across various formats, and providing support for website and graphic design tasks. This role plays a key part in enhancing brand awareness, audience engagement, and supporting marketing initiatives.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Generate, edit, publish, and share engaging content daily across multiple social channels including original text, photos, videos, memes, GIFs, and curated news.
  • Develop and execute a strategic content calendar for all of Hager's social channels to increase brand awareness and promote Hager's products, services, and initiatives.
  • Manage social media profiles consistent with Hager's brand positioning and voice.
  • Report on key performance metrics for social channels and campaigns, offering insights and recommendations to optimize audience engagement and content performance.
  • Stay up to date on social media trends, emerging platforms, and content marketing best practices, introducing innovative ideas to elevate audience interaction.
  • Respond to comments, direct messages, and reviews in a timely, professional, and brand-aligned manner.
  • Monitor online conversations about Hager, its products and services, and relevant industry topics, proactively engaging with audiences and reinforcing positive brand recognition with customers and channel partners.
  • Assist with content development for case studies, landing pages, editorial and advertising opportunities, and marketing collateral.
  • Assist in creating training material and full instructional videos for Hager's products and services.
  • Capture and edit original photography for product, lifestyle, and brand marketing needs, ensuring consistency with brand guidelines and visual standards.
  • Travel locally to photograph and capture video content of new construction sites, projects, and company events for use in social media and marketing campaigns.
  • Other related duties as required.

Education/Knowledge: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Public Relations, (or related field) or a combination of education, specialized training, and experience to meet requirements. Portfolio that demonstrates creativity, versatility, and strong storytelling instincts.

Experience: Two to five years of work experience in a similar position or experience in social media management, content creation, and digital marketing. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, video editing software, social media management tools, and social media platforms. Basic knowledge of HTML. Familiarity with CRM systems is a plus.

Skills: Collaborative and adaptable, able to work both independently and as part of a time. Strong initiative, communication skills, and problem-solving skills. Highly organized and exceptional attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Excellent written, verbal, and visual storytelling abilities with strong grammar, editing, and proofreading skills.

Physical Requirements: Normal office environment which requires the ability to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, and see. May involve the ability to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects of up to 15 to 20 pounds, infrequently.
