MRM is looking for a conceptual Associate Creative Director, Copy to join our growing team. This person will work closely with the Associate Creative Director, Art, and the Creative team in producing high-quality creative content for the agency’s healthcare clients. Along with the account service representatives, the Associate Creative Director maintains contact with the client and presents the team’s creative concepts to client representatives. On those accounts under their supervision, the Associate Creative Director provides leadership to copywriters and art directors in partnership with the ACD Art, along with the Creative Director.
They work closely with other disciplines to deliver and exceed client expectations. The ideal candidate is passionate about creating powerful healthcare experiences and fosters creative inspiration and fresh ideation for their team.
About The Job
Serve as the copy expert for the assigned brands
Serve as a creative team leader, providing direction and solutions
Develop and produce creative concepts for multiple brands and/or services
Bring a fresh approach to projects to inspire team members and clients
Proactively suggest creative strategies to ensure high-quality, accurate work that follows all regulatory guidelines
Work with all functional areas to ensure the work expresses a compelling, single-minded idea
Participate and lead client presentations, articulating the ideas behind concepts and tying them to communication objectives
Engage in client discussions and meetings to ensure creative and strategic alignment
Help clients understand and internalize criteria for assessing creative work
Manage the financial aspects for assigned brands, including scopes, hours, and staffing
Identify staffing needs and potential new hires
Mentor and develop the careers of direct reports, fostering award-winning creative excellence
Stay updated on latest trends, talent, and competitive work
Volunteer for creative opportunities within the agency and network
Support the Creative Director in all requests
About You
7-8 years of pharmaceutical copy supervisory experience in a fast-paced agency
Healthcare copywriting experience is required; HCP experience preferred
An award-worthy portfolio demonstrating innovative digital solutions, compelling copy, and storytelling
Previous leadership experience
Strong presentation skills
Ability to engage in creative discussions internally and with clients
Motivated to seek new creative opportunities and work on pitches
Proactive in learning about trends and sharing ideas with the team
