Spring Valley Church is a growing, Christ-centered, community focused church just outside of Kalamazoo in southwest Michigan. At our core we are a welcoming “come-as-you-are" group of believers where we hope individuals can connect with Jesus and others through vibrant worship gatherings, intentional community life and meaningful service opportunities.

Position Overview:

The Creative and Worship Arts position plays a key role in shaping the worship experience, communication strategy, and digital presence of Spring Valley Church. This person is responsible for preparing and leading weekly worship, managing internal and external communications, and supporting various ministries with creative content and administrative organization.

This is a highly collaborative and detail-oriented position requiring strong technical skills, creativity, and a heart for leading worship.

Key Responsibilities: Worship Arts

Lead worship services on Sunday morning alongside our Worship Pastor and attend worship practices on Wednesday night.

Work with Worship Pastor on scheduling and communicating with volunteers.

Use ProPresenter to build and run weekly worship service presentations.

Create and update all church announcements in ProPresenter.

Create and post the weekly worship set list on Facebook.

Upload livestream recordings to One Church and the church website weekly.

Key Responsibilities: Creative Arts

Serve as the One Church admin, maintaining the directory, ministry and church calendars and check ins.

Create graphics for church events, sermon series ministries, and announcements using Canva and Adobe Illustrator.

Develop and maintain email templates and send out the weekly church email, including announcements, updates and prayer requests.

Maintain the church's social media up to date with events, announcements, and visual content.

Maintain the church website, Google Business profile, and LinkTree ensuring content is current and relevant.

Provide graphics and support for other ministries upon request and collaborate closely with other ministry leaders on projects.

Qualifications:

Experience with ProPresenter and church service media production.

Experience playing on and/or leading a worship team with guitar or piano.

Proficiency in graphic design tools like Canva and Adobe Suite (training available).

Strong knowledge of social media management.

Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Good communication skills and a collaborative spirit.

Passion for ministry and creative communication.
