THE ROLE


Our ideal candidate is versatile and multi-faceted with a passion for design, advertising, branding, and creative problem solving, We’re looking for someone with strong attention to detail, a love for visual storytelling, and the ability to bring ideas to life through thoughtful, compelling design. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with the design and Creative Leadership Team to create beautiful and intelligent design for a range of clients. Your work will play a critical role in shaping brand experiences – and will be seen by thousands (if not millions!) of people.

REQUIREMENTS

  1. An Associates degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts or a related field is required (Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts or a related field is preferred)

  2. Minimum two years’ hands-on experience in designing for both print and digital mediums

  3. Hands on experience creating graphic design for a variety of mediums such as print, branding, websites, social media, display ads, email marketing, trade shows, mobile apps, marketing collateral, animated GIFs, photo retouching, mock ups, and logo design.

  4. Knowledge of general best practices and differences between print and digital mediums.

  5. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Highly skilled in InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop – Lightroom, After Effects, Premiere, Media Encoder, Figma are a strong plus).

  6. Strong portfolio showcasing a range of creative design work

  7. Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment to achieve shared goals.

  8. Self-motivated team player who can work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment and is determined to make every project his or her absolute best.

  9. At least 21 years old per state law

  10. Must be a U.S. Citizen

  11. Must have a valid California Driver’s license and reliable transportation

  12. The role requires the ability to sit, stand and work at a computer for extended periods.

 

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Design and produce high-quality visual content for both digital and print platforms, including social media, web, presentations, marketing materials, and more

  • Create and maintain brand assets such as logos, visual identity systems, style guides, and templates

  • Conceptualize and execute creative campaigns that align with strategic goals and brand voice

  • Ensure visual consistency and excellence across all design deliverables

  • Adapt and iterate on designs based on feedback and performance data

  • Stay current with industry trends, tools, and best practices—and proactively bring fresh, innovative ideas to the team

  • Reports directly to the Creative Leadership Team.

  • A proven understanding of design elements such as color, typography, grid structures, layout, and visual design skills ensuring comprehensive design drafts and a polished final product.

  • Ensure that creative assets are optimized for various platforms, formats, and client touchpoints.

  • Maintain a high level of attention to detail throughout the entire design process—from initial concept to final production

  • Ensure all visual elements are polished, cohesive, and aligned with brand standards

  • Deliver high-quality design assets that meet technical requirements, including accurate color representation, proper resolution, and optimized file sizes

  • Review work carefully to ensure consistency, clarity, and precision across all outputs

 

Collaboration

  • Demonstrate a team-oriented mindset with a clear understanding of how your work contributes to the broader brand and user experience

  • Communicate clearly and confidently, both verbally and in writing, to articulate design ideas, provide rationale, and incorporate feedback seamlessly

  • Contribute positively to a creative culture that values openness, support, and shared success

 

Project Management & Organizational Skills

  • Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, balancing priorities and timelines while remaining flexible through rounds of feedback and revisions

  • Stay highly organized throughout the design process, ensuring clear documentation and consistent file management

  • Deliver final design files that meet the highest standards for quality, accuracy, and readiness for production

  • Prepare and package files correctly for both digital and print output, adhering to technical specifications and production requirements

 

Industry Awareness

  • Staying current on industry trends and competitors, applying this knowledge to enhance creativity and market relevance

  • Research current design trends across a variety of industries, pushing the team towards creative, out-of-the-box thinking.

 

Other

  • Bring a collaborative spirit, open-minded attitude, and eagerness to learn and grow within a creative team environment

  • Maintain a responsive, proactive approach to communication and project involvement

  • Video editing and motion graphics skills are a strong plus to support our multi-media needs (After Effects, Premiere).

  • Demonstrate strong listening skills and a willingness to thoughtfully consider feedback and new perspectives

  • The work environment is primarily office-based.

  • Exposure to cannabis products may occur.
