Riverbend Media Group is east Idaho’s leading media company: thirteen music stations, an outdoor billboard company, events, promotions, podcasts and online resources. As a multimedia company, we are building new and exciting outlets beyond what we have already accomplished. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join the team for our newest radio station, Farm Country 1260.

We’re looking for a storyteller who lives and breathes the agricultural way of life. If the smell of fresh-cut hay makes you smile, you can name more cattle breeds than sports teams, and you can’t resist swapping stories at the feed store, you might be our kind of person. This is more than just reading the news. It’s about connecting with east Idaho’s farmers, ranchers, and rural communities — and telling their stories in a way that’s informative, engaging, and authentic. This position comes with a variety of opportunities for advancement. This is an on-site, part-time position in east Idaho, in the heart of mountain states resort country.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and research local agriculture news stories
• Conduct interviews with farmers, ranchers, ag leaders, and event organizers
• Write and produce daily on-air agriculture news segments
• Create radio imaging related to agriculture content
• Capture the feel of east Idaho’s farming and ranching lifestyle through sound and storytelling
• Potential to launch an ag-focused podcast and/or host a daily ag show on Farm Country 1260

What We’re Looking For:

• Passion for country music and agriculture — you understand the culture and community
• Strong interviewing and writing skills
• Comfortable working with audio editing and production tools (training available)
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• Clear speaking voice with a natural, conversational style
• Previous radio, journalism, or audio storytelling experience a plus (but not required)
