Job Summary
We are seeking an Ophthalmic Photographer to perform highly skilled duties involving specialized equipment to assist physicians in examining and diagnosing eye diseases. Responsibilities include performing various ophthalmic imaging procedures such as digital fluorescein/ICG angiography (including IV injections and patient care), fundus photography, optical coherence tomography, retinal thickness analysis, slit-lamp biomicroscopy, goniography, external and O.R. photography, and media support. Travel between sites may be required.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Support clinical activities for ophthalmology, utilizing diagnostic machines like Heidelberg, Optos, Topcon, Clarus, Bioptigen, Ellex, and Haag Streit. Training will be provided.
- Certify on all research studies, review imaging for research cases, and upload data as requested.
- Handle image requests from HIM, including downloading and delivery coordination.
- Maintain and calibrate equipment, notify management of needs.
Job Eligibility Requirements
- Experience with IVFA, ICG, fundus photography, OCT, and ultrasonography is preferred.
- Postsecondary training in photography or medical/biomedical photography, with certification as a retinal photographer/angiographer from recognized centers, is required.
- Clinical trial certification is required; phlebotomy certification is a plus, with a 6-month acquisition window.
- Minimum of three years of photography experience in complex medical or ophthalmic procedures.
