Role summary:
Hogarth CA is looking for a Senior Photoshop Artist with a comprehensive knowledge of tools/applications such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch and a solid understanding of the
technical side of complex layer structures and effects in Photoshop.. This role will closely work with Manager of Image Studio, other photoshop artists and automation engineers.

Key responsibilities:

  • Proven proficiency in the software required to create assets, including, but not limited to Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Solid understanding of the technical side of complex layer structures and effects in Photoshop
  • Ability to create files that represent the client's software products, ensuring accuracy to the UI and adherence to the screen standards
  • Demonstrate reliable judgment as to manage workload independently while working as a team player to support other production artists as required to meet deadlines
  • Ability to accept feedback and learn new skills and techniques quickly
  • Ability to articulate and resolve technical issues in a manner that is clearly understood by Team Leads and other production artists
  • Excellent organization skills to create assets in a manner that is accessed and easily modified by others
  • Professional desire to deliver quality assets at high volume in a tight timeframe
  • Review and QC their own work and that of other studio artists as required
  • Identify and help implement improvements to the process or tools in service of the work
  • Continuously develop their skill and understanding of new applications or technological advancements in this space
  • Train and mentor new team members, guiding them in the execution of the work to the required standards

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Prepress Color Specialist, with a focus on print production color work.
  • Expertise in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
  • Experience working with GMG ColorProof proofing software is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of print production, including pre-press, color separations, proofing, and image preparation, with a high level of competency in RGB retouching for output in the CMYK color space.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a strong eye for color and composition.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal creative and producer teams and external vendors.
  • Be a proactive and independent artist with strong organizational, problem-solving, time management, and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to ever changing situations with creativity and innovation while meeting deadlines.

This is a contract role.

The base salary range for this position at the time of this posting is indicated below. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications.
