Job Responsibilities:
- Advise individual student participants in the skills necessary for successful performance.
- Manage and supervise student behavior during activity events.
- Responsible for all matters pertaining to the organization and administration of advising/coaching an enrichment team.
- Provide a positive learning environment for student participants.
- Plan and schedule seasonal activities in accordance with District policy.
- Coordinate scheduling and preparation of the area/facility where events are held with the Student Activities Office.
- Enforce all rules of the Minnesota State High School League and Minnetonka Public School District Policies.
- Assist the Director of Activities with hiring, development, and evaluation of assistant advisors.
- Ensure safety measures including emergency action plans are in place.
- Recommend equipment, supplies, and uniforms for purchase to the Director of Activities.
- Maintain discipline and sportsmanship, establishing and overseeing activity penalties for breaches.
- Attend, supervise, and lead all related activities pertinent to advising.
- Possess knowledge and background in the assigned activity.
- Understand and adhere to the Minnetonka Public School District's Student Activity and Athletic Code and the Coaches/Advisors Handbook.
- Be familiar with policies regarding student conduct and disciplinary actions.
- Prioritize and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Follow work directions effectively.
- Show a strong work ethic and dedication to student participation benefits.
- Possess the physical ability to perform essential job functions.
Season Dates:
2025-26 School Year, with performances and rehearsals varying per production.

Additional Responsibilities:

Compensation:
In accordance with Schedule C of the Teacher Collective Bargaining Agreement. Click here to view wage schedule. Not eligible for medical or dental benefits.
