Job Description

Job Description

You’ll be part of a tight, high-performance team managing over 19 active paid search accounts—but this role is designed for someone who wants more than just execution. We’re looking for a Paid Media leader-in-training: someone who excels at client performance today and is hungry to build the systems, processes, and people that will scale the department tomorrow.

You’ll share account ownership with a fellow Paid Media Manager and a Funnel Architect (who leads on landing pages and CRO). Budgets typically range from $10K–$30K/month.

This is a strategic and executional role today—with a clear path to department leadership. You’ll be hands-on in accounts, but also expected to drive improvements that set up the function for scale: better SOPs, stronger cross-functional workflows, and eventually, people leadership.

Key ResponsibilitiesCampaign Strategy & Execution
  • Plan and launch high-converting campaigns, primarily on Google Ads (Search, Display, PMax).
  • Optimize daily across a portfolio of 8–12 accounts to hit key KPIs (CPL, ROAS, CTR).
  • Take increasing ownership of client strategy and performance as leadership potential is demonstrated.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting
  • Analyze data to detect trends, surface insights, and proactively fix issues.
  • Deliver clear, actionable monthly reporting for clients and internal teams.
  • Run structured A/B tests across ads, bids, and landing pages in collaboration with the Funnel Architect.

Communication & Collaboration
  • Partner with account managers, creatives, and other strategists to align messaging and performance goals.
  • Join client calls/emails as needed—especially when performance shifts or growth opportunities emerge.
  • Translate complex campaign data into plain-language recommendations that shape business outcomes.

Departmental Growth & System Building
  • Improve internal processes to make the Paid Media function smarter, faster, and more scalable.
  • Build repeatable systems and contribute directly to playbooks, SOPs, and team-wide standards.
  • Collaborate with leadership to define how the Paid Media team grows (headcount, structure, tech stack).
  • Mentor junior talent and help define future hiring profiles as we scale.

Requirements

Must-Have Technical Mastery
  • Expert-level experience in Google Ads (Search, Display, PMax), conversion tracking, budget pacing, naming structure discipline.
  • Fluency with GA4, GTM, and call tracking tools like CallRail or WhatConverts.
  • Excel / Google Sheets (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas).
  • Looker Studio or similar for dashboards.

Strategic & Analytical Strength
  • Able to isolate high-leverage optimizations across a diverse account mix.
  • Comfortable building media plans and forecasting performance scenarios.

Communication & Project Management
  • Clear, professional written English—your ad copy must be client-grade.
  • Organized and calm under pressure; able to prioritize across a full book of business.

Bonus Skills
  • Familiarity with pest control or broader home services (HVAC, plumbing, etc.)
  • Experience contributing to SOPs or scaling agency workflows
  • Experience hiring or mentoring peers
  • Exposure to eCommerce or multi-channel paid media strategies

Experience Required:
  • 5–7 years managing Google Ads for B2C lead generation
  • $100K+ monthly ad spend under direct management
  • Demonstrated ability to improve both CPL and lead quality
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally (e.g. with designers, devs, or CRO strategists)

We’re Looking For Someone Who:
  • Wants to grow into a leadership role—not just manage accounts, but shape a department
  • Treats client budgets like your own—you don’t waste a dollar
  • Moves fast and knows when 90% is enough
  • Enjoys thoughtful disagreement—we want ideas, not ego
  • Builds systems that scale—not chaos that grows
  • Seeks performance over vanity metrics—your job is to drive sales

Our Core Values
  • Differentiation is survival – Be bold, creative, and original. Average kills.
  • Speed over perfection – Build, ship, learn. Iterate fast.
  • Thoughtful disagreement – Be honest, challenge ideas, and seek truth.
  • Transparent process and tools – Clarity beats mystery. No black boxes.
  • Focus on sales and revenue – Leads. Conversions. Results.

Benefits

  • $75K–$85 base salary
  • Year-end performance bonus
  • Unlimited PTO (2-week minimum)
  • Fully remote
  • Professional development support
  • Flexible work hours
