This role offers an exciting opportunity to produce engaging, social-first content for major entertainment clients including Paramount Pictures, Amazon MGM, Warner Bros., Universal Pictures, and Sony Pictures, as well as consumer brands like CeraVe.

We seek an experienced Independent Sales Consultant with deep roots in the music industry to support the growth of music campaigns and partnerships. This is a performance-based consulting engagement for a self-directed, results-driven individual who can independently bring in strategic business. The ideal candidate operates like a closer, thriving on turning their network and insights into six-figure wins.

Candidates should have a strong background in music account management or sales, with a proven track record of sourcing and closing high-value deals. A passion for digital media, short-form content, influencer strategy, and fan engagement is essential.

The consultant will operate independently, providing services such as prospecting, pitching, and negotiating campaign deals with labels, artist managers, and direct-to-artist clients. They are expected to bring their own relationships, strategies, and work methods.

Scope of Work

This independent contractor will provide sales consulting services, including but not limited to:

  • Business Development & Revenue Growth
  • Source and close high-value music partnership deals aiming to generate $1M+ annually.
  • Create and execute outreach and prospecting strategies independently.
  • Negotiate deal terms while aligning deliverables with company offerings.
  • Focus on deal margin and profitability.
  • Industry Relationships
  • Leverage existing networks with labels, artist managers, and A&Rs to identify and engage prospects.
  • Act as a strategic advisor throughout campaign lifecycle.
  • Represent the company in external meetings as a trusted industry expert.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Interface with internal teams as needed for deal support.
  • Communicate deliverables clearly and align client expectations.
  • Provide market insights and feedback for ongoing collaboration.

Candidate Profile

  • Minimum 5 years in music industry sales, brand partnerships, or artist marketing.
  • Ability to independently close mid- to high-six-figure deals.
  • Existing relationships with label teams, A&Rs, artists, and managers.
  • Strong understanding of TikTok, influencer culture, and digital music marketing.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with C-level poise.
  • Autonomous operation, efficiency, and success in a commission-driven environment.

Engagement Details

  • This is a 1099 contractor role. The consultant sets their own hours, methods, and bears their own expenses.
  • Monthly retainer of $6,000 plus commissions and incentives.
  • No benefits, supervision, or ongoing training provided.
