Important note
- Our client is looking for a local candidate who can come to the office in Reston, VA 3-4 days a week and occasionally go to the Midtown DC office for meetings with business teams.
- Interview: Two rounds one of which would be in-person (with Hiring Manager and Product Owners).
- Sample portfolio is required.
- We are seeking a UI/UX Designer to join our Product Team, focusing on enhancing complex workflows. This role involves improving and refining existing applications (not greenfield design) and partnering closely with product owners, product managers, SMEs, and engineers in an Agile Scrum environment.
- The ideal candidate will be proactive, highly collaborative, and skilled at translating requirements into effective user-centered designs.
- Design and improve workflows for existing applications, including Salesforce-based systems.
- Create wireframes, mockups, interactive prototypes, and visual designs (low- to high-fidelity).
- Conduct usability testing, user interviews, and surveys to gather insights.
- Host and facilitate sessions with internal and external customers to understand requirements and translate them into design solutions.
- Collaborate closely with product owners, managers, and developers to ensure successful implementation.
- Partner with other designers across product teams to ensure consistency.
- Actively participate in Agile ceremonies and quarterly PI planning following SAFe principles.
- Present design portfolios during interviews that demonstrate problem-solving approaches and resulting outcomes (AI-generated work will not be accepted).
- Proven experience as a UI/UX Designer working on complex workflows.
- Strong proficiency in Figma; Adobe Creative Suite experience is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with business and technical stakeholders.
- Experience in conducting user research and usability testing.
- Ability to take requirements from concept to high-fidelity designs.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think visually and conceptually.
- Must provide a portfolio showcasing real-world design work and outcomes.
- Familiarity with Salesforce Lightning Web Component Development or Design Libraries.
- Understanding of SAFe Agile methodologies and experience in PI planning.
