Position Summary

Busek is seeking a detail-oriented Technical Writer to join our Fluidics team. This role is critical in documenting technical designs, procedures, test plans, and reports for high-performance propulsion fluid systems and spacecraft subsystems. The ideal candidate is a skilled communicator who can translate complex technical concepts into clear, accurate, and organized documentation for both engineering and customer-facing use.

Key Responsibilities

Work closely with engineers to create, revise, and maintain a variety of technical documents, including:

  • Test plans and procedures
  • Assembly and operations manuals
  • Engineering specifications and datasheets
  • Verification and validation documentation
  • Internal knowledgebase articles

Support the development of customer- and compliance-ready documentation for fluidic components and systems, including tanks, valves, regulators, filters, and plumbing assemblies.

Ensure consistent documentation standards, version control, and clear traceability throughout the product lifecycle.

Manage documentation updates based on test data, design changes, or customer feedback.

Participate in design reviews and test readiness reviews to capture and communicate key decisions and actions.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in English, Technical Communication, Engineering, or a related field.

2+ years of experience in technical writing, preferably in an engineering or aerospace environment.

Familiarity with mechanical or fluidic systems and an ability to understand engineering schematics and terminology.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and document formatting tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat).

Experience with document management systems and configuration control processes.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in aerospace or defense industry.

Exposure to cleanroom protocols, precision assemblies, or pressure systems.

Knowledge of government standards (e.g., NASA-STD, MIL-STD, AS9100) for technical documentation.

Familiarity with CAD software or image markup tools for diagrams and schematics (e.g., SolidWorks Composer or Visio).
