Job Title: Broadcast Director/Technical Director - WFOX TV

Position Overview

WFOX TV Jacksonville is seeking a Broadcast Director who will produce content for newscasts and all digital platforms. The candidate must be comfortable directing in a fast-paced, live television environment and oversee all technical aspects of a live broadcast across all platforms. The individual should be adaptable to changes and communicate effectively with staff and news management. Additionally, the candidate must be willing and able to contribute content to digital platforms.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Direct and TD live broadcasts on a Grass Valley switcher without automation
• Maintain the production studio
• Oversee and direct content for digital platforms
• Transfer elements into Bitcentral for playback
• Troubleshoot issues with Telemetrics, Bitcentral, and Chyron
• Maintain a positive, cooperative, and professional attitude at all times

Minimum Qualifications

• Experience in live directing and/or switching; knowledge of switcher concepts
• Ability to sit and direct for extended periods

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 2 years of television news experience preferred
