Jefferson County Public Health is seeking a Public Health Communication Specialist. Work within a team to build engaging and informative communication platforms that strategically disseminate time-sensitive emergency, educational, and general information about the department, its services, and programs. Platforms for disseminating information may include, but are not limited to, social media, website, print media, and outreach at public events.
The individual must be able to perform this job successfully in each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements are listed on the attached job description and are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education and/or Experience:
Associate’s degree (A.A.) in a computer-related field, journalism, public relations, communications, or a related field; AND two (2) years of related experience in web production or website management; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
AND
Two (2) years of experience working with graphic design software and other tools used in the maintenance and design of social media and other internet-based communications.
UFCW, 40 hours/week. Grade 28, with a starting pay typically $28.71/hr. Full hourly range $28.71-$34.28/hr. DOE.
