In order to participate in Berklee Student Employment, a student must fulfill the following requirements:

• Current student at Berklee College of Music or Boston Conservatory at Berklee.

• Enrolled at least half-time in a degree, diploma, or certificate-seeking undergraduate or graduate program. Summer is the only semester in which a student can maintain employment without being enrolled. In this case, the student must be pre-registered for the upcoming fall semester. This exception does not apply to fall or spring semesters.

• Have a valid United States Social Security Number (SSN).

• Remain in “valid” Visa status as applicable.

• A minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA. Students in their first semester can work, even though they do not have an official GPA until the completion of their first semester.

• Federal Work Study student may apply.

• In good disciplinary standing.

• Must be located in the U.S.

The Music Therapy Research Assistant plays an essential role in the daily operations and functions of the Berklee Music Therapy Department. The student hired must have excellent skills in communication, cooperation, organization. We are looking for an individual with incredible drive and motivation to successfully complete the tasks they are given in a timely manner. Please see below for details on the responsibilities of this position.

Responsibilities:

• Please note: this position is for Music Therapy majors only. Students newer to the major are encouraged to apply.

• Assist Department Chair and Department Coordinator in department-related events and projects as assigned

• Assist in daily email correspondences

• Create and post social media marketing for the broader music therapy community and Berklee MT student body

• Assist faculty in course management and research, as needed

• Assist staff with overseeing department resource room (if student is part of the hybrid learning experience) and other duties, as assigned, relative to department goals and objectives

• Assist students in applications for major, applications for internships, and location/availability of resources for coursework completion

• Communicate to department chair needs of student body as classes continue hybrid

• Assist students with peer-to-peer advising
