Job Description
Fox News Digital is seeking an experienced Writer to join our team. You should love breaking news and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Candidates should have 2+ years of journalism experience, with a focus on breaking and compelling news to serve our audience. You must be passionate about news, consuming content from various sources, and able to write and produce multiple stories daily, mainly covering breaking news, trending topics, and some original reporting.
Responsibilities
- Cover breaking news events, writing quickly and accurately to establish Fox News as the go-to source for breaking news
- Pitch and cover stories that resonate with Fox News Digital’s audience, with proper attribution
- Pursue original and exclusive stories through close contact with sources
- Present all stories—original, breaking, and aggregated—in an accessible, consistent, and compelling style
- Collaborate with editors and fellow writers/reporters
- Obtain and edit compelling videos and images for each story
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of news coverage and newsroom experience
- Strong interest in diverse news verticals including U.S., World, Politics, Business, etc.
- Knowledge of AP style and clear, concise writing skills
- Good understanding of current events and a commitment to accuracy and speed
- Ability to work under deadlines and pressure in a fast-paced newsroom
- Flexibility to work on some holidays and be on-call for breaking news
- Experience in developing SEO-focused content
- PhotoShop skills and video editing (e.g., iPhone editing) preferred

The pay range for this role is $60,000.00–$80,000.00 annually, dependent on education, skills, experience, and location. Benefits include medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), paid time off, and more, in accordance with plan documents. Benefits for union-represented employees will follow applicable collective bargaining agreements.
