Position Overview
The Operations Supervisor leads floor operations with a focus on customer service, staff leadership, and development. They directly oversee the technical team to ensure operational efficiencies and customer satisfaction. This role may also involve administrative duties supporting onsite operations and career development. The position reports to the DET, DOO, or Operations Manager.
Key Job Responsibilities
Operations Management
- Organize daily floor activities to ensure equipment setup, refresh, and removal are timely.
- Manage daily floor operations, directing technicians and assisting with labor needs and scheduling.
- Participate in crew scheduling, focusing on talent allocation based on event or client requirements.
- Ensure flowsheets are updated and completed correctly.
- Establish coordinated communication for event management.
- Attend venue meetings as needed.
- Assist management in ensuring team compliance with Operational Excellence standards.
- Suggest scheduling and operational improvements.
Customer Service
- Provide excellent service, exceeding internal and external customer expectations following Encores Service Standards.
- Maintain positive client relationships through effective communication.
- Meet with guests onsite to ensure needs are met and equipment functions properly.
- Monitor events and check in on customers throughout the day.
- Foster and maintain hotel/client relationships.
- Assist management in ensuring team compliance with service standards.
Training/Staff Development
- Assist in training technicians on floor activities and operational standards.
- Mentor new hires and guide their career development.
- Model and promote a positive work environment aligned with company values.
Event Technology
- Ensure accurate setup, operation, and breakdown of audiovisual equipment.
- Troubleshoot technical issues promptly.
- Follow all security and safety protocols.
- Secure equipment from theft or damage and perform preventative maintenance.
- Lead proper security, storage, transportation, and maintenance of equipment.
- Participate in inventory counts as needed.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelors degree preferred.
- 3-5 years of customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
- 3-5 years of audio-visual experience required.
- Must meet all training and certification requirements as per Encores programs.
- Technical knowledge and advanced problem-solving skills.
- Experience leading workflows and teams.
- Valid drivers license required for roles involving vehicle operation.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Compensation
Hourly pay range: $20.09 - $24.60, based on qualifications and location. Benefits and additional incentives may apply.
