Job Description

We are seeking a talented and flexible Music Enrichment Teacher & Classroom Support Guide to lead music instruction for children ages 6 weeks through 6 years. This role combines specialized music teaching with the ability to step into classrooms across age levels to support guides as needed. The ideal candidate will bring both musical skill and a love of working with young children in a nurturing, Montessori-aligned environment.

Responsibilities

Develop and deliver age-appropriate music lessons that engage infants, toddlers, and primary-aged children.
Introduce children to rhythm, movement, singing, and early instrument exploration.
Teach foundational music skills, including reading music, basic theory, and introductory instrument instruction.
Foster creativity and collaboration through group music experiences.
Support lead guides by floating into classrooms as needed, assisting with Montessori and DaVinci Kids activities.
Maintain a warm and structured environment that reflects MKU’s educational philosophy.
Communicate with staff and families about children’s progress and classroom experiences.

Qualifications

Experience working with young children in a school, childcare, or educational setting.
Strong musical background, including the ability to read music and teach an instrument.
Comfort with singing, movement, and leading group activities.
Flexibility to step into multiple classrooms and support varying age groups.
Willingness to follow MKU’s Trifecta curriculum model: Montessori, Reggio Emilia, and DaVinci Kids.
Strong communication skills, teamwork mindset, and passion for early childhood education.
